Hey there! We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join us (remotely) at Upnova in Helsinki. At Upnova, we’re building an all-in-one upsell platform for online stores, making it super easy for e-commerce businesses to increase their average order value and create better shopping experiences. Our platform integrates seamlessly with online stores to help merchants boost revenue with smart, easy-to-use upselling features.
We know upselling doesn’t always sound glamorous, but we’re on a mission to show small and medium-sized businesses its true power. By using data-driven strategies and beautiful designs, we help our clients grow, increase their revenue, and reinvest in what matters. We’re turning upselling into a real growth engine!
Responsibilities:
- Lead Our Upsell Experience – You’ll develop and optimize the upselling experience, making sure it’s smooth, high-performing, and integrates easily with different e-commerce platforms.
- Frontend & Backend Work – You’ll use your React expertise on the frontend and support our backend using the latest tech.
- Leadership Potential – For those looking to grow, there’s room to take on a CTO role, guiding our tech team and influencing our tech stack.
Your skills and experience
- JavaScript Expertise: Extensive experience with TypeScript, especially frameworks like React.
- Backend Proficiency: Strong skills in ExpressJs, Postgres or any NoSQL databse.
- Technical Skills: A solid understanding of advanced CSS animations, performance optimization, unit testing, and performance debugging.
- Optimization: Expertise in optimizing web performance to ensure fast loading times and smooth interaction.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with co-coding with AI
- Familiar with OpenAI
- UI/UX Design
