Job description

The QA Automation team, led by the QA Automation Lead, is responsible for developing and executing test automation strategies. The Lead oversees the team, designs and creates automated tests & framework, and mentors junior engineers. Senior QA Automation Engineers play a critical role in building and maintaining automated tests, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and guiding peers. Mid-Level QA Automation Engineers contribute by designing and executing automated test cases, maintaining the automation framework, and assisting junior engineers with troubleshooting. All team members are expected to have a solid understanding of automation tools and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical direction by setting priorities and providing a vision for the automation team.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and/or Stakeholders
• Works collaboratively with cross functional teams to understand product objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable test automation solutions.
• Identify areas for improved testing efficiencies, test automation and implementation of automated test solution.
• Drives the research, evaluation and implementation of automated testing tools and utilities
• Participate in meetings to discuss and agree on automation testing approach and follow it up in new automation test opportunities.
• Lead Automation Engineer team to create the test automation solutions/strategy for the projects
• Train and mentor Automation Engineer on proper selection, design and implementation of various Test Automation Frameworks, Tools, and Strategies.

Your skills and experience

Requirements:

• A positive, optimistic, can-do attitude
• At least 2-5 years of professional experience testing and developing automated tests production software and systems (web apps, mobile apps, APIs)
• Programing skill at least one language
• Experience with at least one version control system
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Is both a testing guru and automation coder
• For the Lead position, expect candidates to have 2-3 years of experience in a QA Automation Lead role, along with 5-7 years of experience in test automation

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, API Automation, and BDD
• Experience working with cloud technologies
• Strong debugging skills
• Extend skill sets are welcome and encouraged
