ABOUT THE JOB 

We're seeking Principal, DevOps Engineer who have had a proven track record of running critical shared application platforms in a production cloud environment who will take a team-first approach and can act as a multiplier, making other engineers better at their craft.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and implement tools and processes to standardize and automate software development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ensure consistent CI/CD practices across projects and teams.
• Design and deliver secure, resilient, scalable enterprise platforms and cloud solutions.
• Provide technical direction and present/defend architecture decisions to senior architects or architecture governance forums.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and rollback using Infrastructure as Code.
• Lead production incident investigations and drive root-cause remediation.
• Proactively manage production risks and improve operational resilience.
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives and influence outcomes without direct authority.
• Coach engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.

Your skills and experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering across the software lifecycle.
• Strong AWS and/or Azure experience, including Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).
• Strong CI/CD and automation experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, and Compliance as Code.
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, and CloudWatch.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills with Terraform, Ansible, Packer, and/or Python.
• Enterprise platform/solution design experience, with strong knowledge of reliability, security, scalability, and operational resilience.
• Experience presenting/defending designs to senior architects, Principal Engineers, or Architecture Review Boards.
• Proven technical leadership and cross-team influence without direct authority.
• Strong production support, incident management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
