Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Engineer to support development teams and lead the configuration of production-grade container orchestration solutions. This role focuses heavily on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and requires hands-on expertise with advanced Kubernetes tooling and practices, including Helm, Istio Service Mesh, eBPF, Prometheus, Grafana, and multi-cluster management and disaster recovery (DR).

Core Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters with a focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Support development teams in containerizing applications and optimizing deployment pipelines.
• Implement and manage Helm charts for application packaging and deployment.
• Configure and maintain Istio Service Mesh for traffic routing, security, and observability.
• Utilize eBPF for advanced observability, networking, and performance tuning.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Architect and manage multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery (DR) strategies for Kubernetes workloads.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to ensure best practices in container orchestration.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Your skills and experience

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience, focusing on Azure Kubernetes
• Proven experience in container orchestration and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Proficiency with Helm, Istio, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Experience with eBPF for observability and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including multi-cluster management and DR planning.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Technical Skills

• Certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer).
• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS EKS, GCP GKE).
• Familiarity with service mesh alternatives (e.g., Linkerd).
• Knowledge of security best practices in Kubernetes environments.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test as part of the selection process.

Education or Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
