Job description

1. IT Infrastructure Development and Operation

• Design, operation, and troubleshooting of internal networks (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN)

• Procurement, setup, and management of PCs, peripherals, and mobile devices

[PCT Example] Ensuring stable operation of Wi-Fi environments, and network design and vendor coordination for the office

2. System Operation and Maintenance

• Implementation, operation, and updates of business systems (time attendance, human resources, accounting, sales management, etc.)

• First line response in the event of a malfunction (help desk-like role)

• Coordination and requests with vendors and developers

[PCT Example] Maintenance and operation of the MISA accounting system, Kintone, and IB application system

3. Information Security Measures

• Formulating and disseminating security policies

• Privilege management (account issuance/deletion, access control)

• Incident response (response to information leaks and cyberattacks)

[PCT Example] Implementation and operation of Cisco Secure Endpoint, Juniper SRX300 management, proxy settings

4. IT Asset Management

• PC, server, software license, and account management

• Inventory and usage monitoring and upgrade planning

• IT cost management and budgeting support

[PCT Examples] Windows 11 upgrade planning, PC distribution and collection, Teams Premium and translation VDI license management

5. Internal User Support

• Handling inquiries about PC and system operation methods

• New system implementation briefings, manual creation, employee training

• Remote work environment setup and support

[PCT Examples] IT support via Slack and Teams, PC setup assistance for new employees, and server room usage rules

6. Planning and Improvement

• Digital Transformation (DX) Promotion

• AI tool implementation (e.g., RPA, cloud services, AI)

[PCT Examples] Improved HR/Finance efficiency using AI agents, consideration of introducing translation support tools, and establishing an online learning environment for training programs

Your skills and experience

Must:

• 2+ years of experience in information systems-related work (or equivalent network and device knowledge)
• Knowledge of networks, data security, firewalls, and PC setup (Windows)
• The difference from a contract position is that you will also handle internal applications and coordination. Since you will be dealing directly with IT personnel at Headquarters, communication skills, including language proficiency, are important. Also, there aren't many career paths, so only people who understand this will be able to stay.
• English: intermediate level

Preferable:

• Japanese: A plus (preferably as much as possible)
