Job description

• Write clean, readable, and maintainable Python code to build scripts, REST APIs, and data processing utilities.
• Assist in integrating AI/ML models and services (e.g., OpenAI API, Hugging Face, LangChain, or custom models) into existing applications and microservices.
• Help build, test, and optimize data extraction, transformation, and ingestion pipelines (ETL/ELT) for AI workflows.
• Write unit and integration tests (using pytest or similar) to ensure the reliability and performance of AI features and data feeds.
• Conduct fast-paced research and experiments with open-source AI tools, libraries, and prompt engineering strategies to solve specific technical problems.
• Participate in agile team ceremonies (standups, code reviews) and maintain clear technical documentation for tools and APIs developed during the internship.

Your skills and experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong foundation in core Python programming (data structures, OOP, file handling, async concepts, standard libraries).
• Practical coursework or project experience with machine learning concepts, NLP, or modern AI tools (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or LLM APIs).
• Basic understanding of building or consuming RESTful APIs using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub/GitLab for code versioning and pull requests.
• Strong analytical skills, curiosity about emerging AI technologies, and a self-driven willingness to learn.
• Japanese at least N4

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus)

• Experience with Apache Kafka, LlamaIndex, Ollama, and sensors.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and managing multi-database container setups.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of system profiling, profiling memory leaks in Python, and API benchmarking.
