Job description

Due to expand and develop the business’s strategy, Indovina Bank has demand to seek potential candidates for the Head of Database Administration Section position of
Application Operation & Support Department with details as below:
➢ Place of Work: Head Office, 97A Nguyen Van Troi, Ward 11, Phu Nhuan District, HCMC
➢ Tasks:
Manage and implement tasks of database administration section to ensure accomplishment of assigned plans annually as well as support Department Head as allocated.
1. Planning

• Support Department Head in managing and deploying activities plan of section in each period and as assigned.

2. Manage and operate overall activities of section

• Manage, operate and maintain database in order to maintain continuous activities stably and safely.
• Ensure security of database
• Optimize database system in order to save resources preferably, promote operation of database
• Constantly check status of database with logical side and physical side, write statements to submit methods for manager’s approval to cut down risk limit of database at the lowest. Update patches from suppliers timely.
• Plan, carry out storing data and check result of storage. Carry out restoring data as request.
• Coordinate with other teams at APD in order to manage and store information technology data.
• Coordinate with other teams at APD to check, ensure to restore database from backup fully as necessary.
• Manage and ensure consistency of relational databases entity and operational control from database
• Manage and decentralize use of resources to users using database
• Manage backup closely in order to prevent from losses, change and illegal deployment

3. Employee management

• Support to allocate KPIs for each employee in the section
• Monitor and manage level of job accomplishment in comparison with budget and target, periodically review performance of all employees in the section
• Instruct staff, build and organize to carry out plans of training, training of professional knowledge, promotion of professional knowledge for staff in the section

Your skills and experience

• Male/Female with bachelor’s degree or above from Information Technology or relevant majors
• Have knowledge of Accounting – Finance - Banking
• Other qualifications/certificates: having international certificate OCP (Oracle Database Certified Professional) is advantage
• Have knowledge operating system as Windows, Linux, Unix
• Good skills at Communication; presentation, solve problems and decision-making.
• Ability to work independently/work in team, time management
• Experience: at least five year experience in database administration of Oracle: Backup/Recovery or equivalent position.
• Other knowledge of databases as Postgres, Ms SQL, MySQL...is advantage
• English: Ability in Reading comprehension & writing technical documents in English
