Job description

We seek a talented Game Developer to design and deliver immersive entertainment experiences on the platform to become a Roblox Developer. This role goes beyond gaming—it's about crafting unique, engaging, and interactive worlds that captivate audiences and redefine virtual entertainment. You will collaborate with a diverse team to innovate and bring creative ideas to life for a global audience

Responsibilities 

• Work alongside stakeholders (such as artists and developers) to design and create entertainment-driven experiences in Roblox Studio. 
• Develop clean, modular Lua scripts that support dynamic and interactive features, ensuring alignment with design goals and platform capabilities. 
• Optimize the user experience by debugging, testing, and refining mechanics to ensure seamless performance. 
• Participate in code reviews, exchanging feedback to maintain high technical standards and foster team growth. 
• Identify and solve unique technical challenges associated with creating diverse entertainment experiences on Roblox. 
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects by maintaining clear communication and effective collaboration.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. 
• With 3+ years of proven experience in game or app development, a portfolio demonstrating interactive and entertainment-oriented projects (not limited to games). 
• In-depth knowledge in at least one of the following: Unity or Unreal Engine. 
• Strong understanding of server-client architecture and optimization for multiplayer or interactive environments. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset. 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based setting. 
• A passion for creating entertainment experiences that push the boundaries of virtual interaction. 

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience integrating User Generated Content (UGC) into virtual experiences. 
• Knowledge of monetization strategies within Roblox, including virtual economies and marketplace features. 
• Active participation in the Roblox developer community or forums. 
• Familiarity with crafting non-game interactive experiences (e.g., virtual concerts, social hubs, or educational simulations). 
• Proficiency in Lua scripting and Roblox Studio is a plus.
