Job description

As HipVan’s Front-End Engineer, you will drive the design and development of engaging user interfaces across our web and mobile platforms, ensuring exceptional user experiences for both our Communa social platform and HipVan e-commerce offerings. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate design requirements into high-quality, interactive applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in modern front-end technologies, and architectural principles, and a passion for building responsive, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Your skills and experience

• UI Development & Consistency:
Develop and maintain codebases using modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) to deliver scalable, high-performance, and consistent user interfaces across web and mobile platforms.
 

• Responsive Design & Performance:
Implement responsive, high-performance designs and asset loading optimized for various devices while ensuring accessibility standards.

• Collaboration & Design System Implementation:
Work closely with product designers, back-end developers, and QA teams to deliver intuitive, user-friendly experiences aligned with design guidelines. Collaborate with UI designers to implement and maintain live components that accurately match the UI design system, ensuring visual consistency across the platform.

• CI/CD & Code Quality:
Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines, conduct code reviews, and adhere to best practices for maintainable code.

• Architectural Competence:
Apply architectural principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming (OOP) to build scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Animation & Interaction:
Implement engaging animations using CSS and JavaScript, applying motion design principles to enhance user interaction.

Requirements

• Experience & Technical Skills:
5+ years of front-end development experience for web and mobile applications. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) is essential. Familiarity with TypeScript, modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc.), version control (Git), and front-end testing, performance optimization, and CI/CD practices is a plus. A strong grasp of architectural principles, design patterns, and OOP is required.

• Analytical & Communication Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

• UI/UX Proficiency:
Ability to translate design mockups into responsive, accessible code while maintaining usability and performance.
