Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Digital Business & Automation Specialist. This is not a narrow IT admin job, and it is not a pure marketing job. You will work across our websites and e-commerce, Microsoft 365 administration, branding support, product data, and AI-supported automation — building the digital backbone that makes us more professional, more efficient, and easier for customers to work with.

You do not need to be an expert in every tool on day one. You do need to be practical, curious, organized, and able to take ownership. When something is broken, unclear, or manual, we expect you to figure it out, propose a solution, and build it — step by step, without waiting for detailed instructions.

1. E-commerce website & landing pages (~30%)

  • Set up, maintain, and improve our e-commerce website for the German market: product pages, categories, technical specifications, downloadable datasheets, and inquiry/order flows
  • Keep the shop compatible with 3PL logistics and warehouse fulfillment, coordinating with fulfillment partners
  • Build and maintain landing pages for specific products, countries, and campaigns to generate qualified B2B inquiries
  • Handle SEO basics, analytics and tracking, inquiry forms, and CRM/email workflow connections
  • Run simple A/B tests and continuously improve conversion and usability

2. Automation, AI workflows & internal tools (~25%)

  • Automate repetitive office, sales, marketing, and admin processes
  • Connect tools such as website forms, email, CRM, spreadsheets, Odoo/ERP, file storage, and reporting systems
  • Build simple apps, forms, dashboards, and internal workflows
  • Use AI tools to speed up content creation, reporting, and document generation — with human judgment, not blind copy-paste
  • Spot automation opportunities and implement them step by step

3. Microsoft 365 & general IT administration (~20%)

  • Manage users, email accounts, groups, permissions, and security settings in Microsoft 365
  • Support Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related tools across the company
  • Manage domains, website-related accounts, and admin access
  • Help standardize digital file structures and internal access rights
  • Handle day-to-day IT requests from management and team members

4. Branding, product data & sales material (~20%)

  • Improve our professional image across websites, presentations, datasheets, catalogs, email templates, and digital communication
  • Help build a consistent corporate design; coordinate with designers, freelancers, or agencies where needed
  • Create and maintain product datasheets, descriptions, and technical data in a structured, reusable format
  • Support the sales team with documents, templates, and product material — keeping technical accuracy first

5. Reporting, documentation & ongoing improvement (~5%)

  • Document what you build so others can use and maintain it
  • Report on website performance, inbound inquiries, and automation results
  • Suggest and prioritize the next improvements

How we will measure success

No pressure to deliver everything at once — we will grow into this together. Over your first 6–12 months, we would like to see progress like:

  • The German e-commerce website takes shape and starts producing B2B inquiries or orders
  • Landing pages begin generating qualified inbound inquiries
  • Microsoft 365 becomes cleaner and better organized step by step
  • Some manual processes get automated, saving real time
  • Customer-facing material becomes more consistent and professional

Your skills and experience

What you should bring

You do not need years of professional experience. This role is also open to motivated beginners who can show real drive and practical skills — personal projects, studies, or first work experience all count.

  • A real interest in websites, e-commerce, and digital tools — with some first hands-on experience (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, or your own projects)
  • Curiosity about AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) and openness to using them in daily work
  • Motivation to learn new tools quickly and figure things out on your own
  • A sense for structure, tidy layouts, and professional presentation
  • Care with details, data, and anything customers will see
  • Reliability and open, friendly communication
  • Good written and spoken English

Nice-to-have

None of these are required — any of them is a bonus:

  • German language skills (we are building a shop for the German market)
  • Basic HTML/CSS
  • First experience with SEO, Google Analytics, or Search Console
  • Microsoft 365 administration, Power Automate, or Power Apps
  • Automation tools like Zapier or Make.com
  • CRM or Odoo/ERP experience
  • Design tools: Canva, Figma, Adobe, PowerPoint
  • Interest in technical B2B products — telecom, cabling, or networking
