DevOps Engineer

Job description

As the Senior DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for:

Cloud Infrastructure Design, Implementation and Management

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient AWS Cloud infrastructure to support the development and deployment lifecycle.
• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization.

Automation and Scripting

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.

Collaboration with Development Teams

• Work closely with software development teams to understand application requirements and optimize deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure and deployments.

Monitoring and Logging

• Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
• Set up and maintain centralized logging systems for tracking and analyzing system logs.

Security Compliance

• Implement and enforce security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments.

Documentation

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.

Mentorship and Collaboration

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the DevOps team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Your skills and experience

• Over 05 years’ experience in similar role
• Expertise in deploying and managing applications with Helm and Jenkins, orchestrating workflows with Airflow, and using BitBucket for version control and collaboration.
• Proficiency in defining and managing infrastructure through code with Terraform.
• Strong scripting skills for automation and custom tooling, with Python3 for more complex logic and Bash/Shell for quick scripts and system administration.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) for handling different types of data.
• Familiarity with both Red Hat-based and Debian-based systems, indicating versatility in managing various Linux environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Amazon Web Services: EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, Route53, ES, S3, Glacier, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, SSM, DynamoDB.
• Experience with NGINX for handling web traffic, load balancing, and reverse proxying.
• Skills in containerization with Docker, managing multi-container applications with Docker Compose, orchestrating containerized applications with Kubernetes, and utilizing Serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with various monitoring and logging tools for observability, including log management (Elasticsearch, Kibana, FluentD), application performance monitoring (New Relic), and metrics visualization (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Knowledge of security practices and tools to protect against threats, including DoS/DDoS attacks, firewalls, DAST and SAST, OWASP.
• Understanding of networking protocols, encryption, and secure communication methods. (TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SSH, VPN)
• Good English communication
