Job description

GFT is looking for experienced Data Experts to join our growing data team. We are currently hiring across two key areas:

1. Data Analyst – focused on data analysis, reporting, report migration, data mapping, validation, and business/regulatory reporting within an AWS-based Lakehouse platform in a banking environment.
2. Data Scientist – focused on statistical analysis, data mining, AI/ML, LLM technologies, and developing data-driven and AI-powered products.

Depending on your background and expertise, you will contribute to complex data initiatives, working closely with data teams, engineers, product managers, business users, and other stakeholders.

DATA ANALYST – ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a Data Analyst to support report migration, data mapping, reporting, and validation for an AWS-based Lakehouse platform in a banking environment.

You will help migrate approximately 200–300 business, operational, and regulatory reports into a Redshift-based Data Warehouse and ensure they are accurate and ready for go-live.

DATA ANALYST – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze legacy reports, data sources, business rules, and reporting logic.
• Perform data mapping and support migration into the Data Lakehouse/Redshift DWH.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into report specifications.
• Generate and validate business, operational, and regulatory reports.
• Perform reconciliation, variance analysis, issue investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Support dashboards and operational reporting after go-live.
• Work with business users, data engineers, and regulatory stakeholders to resolve reporting issues.
• Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, complete, and go-live ready.

DATA SCIENTIST – ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to solve complex business challenges through statistical analysis, data mining, AI/ML, and LLM technologies.

You will develop data-driven and AI-powered products from ideation through delivery, working closely with data, product, and engineering teams.

DATA SCIENTIST – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze human behavior, sentiment, and language data to identify patterns and support decision-making.
• Develop and optimize AI/ML solutions, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, data feeding, validation, and QA.
• Apply pragmatic technical solutions focused on business value and delivery speed.
• Work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to deliver data and AI solutions.
• Mentor talent and contribute to the development of AI-powered product features.

Your skills and experience

We are currently hiring across two key areas: Data Analyst and Data Scientist. Depending on your background and expertise, you will contribute to complex data initiatives.

DATA ANALYST – REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 4+ years as a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Business Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience with data mapping, Data Warehouse, reporting, dashboard development, report migration, validation, and reconciliation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into data insights and reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of reporting logic, data quality, and business rules.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field.

DATA ANALYST – DOMAIN & NICE TO HAVE

• Banking experience preferred, particularly in lending, regulatory, financial, operational, customer/account, transaction, risk, AML/KYC, or compliance reporting.
• Experience with Redshift, Athena, S3, Glue, Lake Formation, or other AWS data services.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, or similar BI tools.
• Understanding of Lakehouse architecture, data marts, and reporting data models.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Jira and Confluence.

DATA SCIENTIST – REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of relevant Data Science experience, preferably with consumer-facing, human-generated data, or equivalent domains.
• Having basic understanding of revenue and/or risk management.
• 4+ years applying advanced statistical methods and data mining to solve business challenges and identify opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.
• Strong programming skills in one or more of Python, R, C++, or Java, with experience in data engineering, cloud data architecture, or large-scale data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML and LLMs, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, pipeline setup, validation, and QA.
• Experience building data products from concept to production.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and ability to connect data initiatives to business outcomes.

DATA SCIENTIST – PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Data Engineering, DevOps, and MLOps for AI model deployment.
• Familiarity with AWS data services.
• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment with ambiguity.
