About the Role:
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead technology strategy, system scalability, and team development while ensuring high-speed execution, stability, and efficiency. This role requires a hands-on, high-impact leader who can balance deep technical execution, team management, and future-proofing our technology.
A/ Responsibilities:
Technology Leadership & System Scalability
- Own and optimize the entire tech stack & architecture, ensuring high availability, security, and resilience.
- Lead infrastructure scaling to support 1M+ daily transactions across multiple services.
- Implement cutting-edge AI and automation solutions to improve platform performance.
- Enhance system observability, monitoring, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Drive cost-efficient CapEx planning, optimizing for performance vs. budget balance.
Team & Culture Building
- Manage and mentor a cross-functional tech team of more than 100 members (Backend, Mobile, SRE, QA, Data science…).
- Foster a high-speed, ownership-driven culture that promotes integrity, collaboration, and accountability.
- Develop technical leadership pipelines, ensuring top talent development and retention.
- Cultivate an engineering culture that embraces innovation, continuous learning, and rapid iteration.
Future-Readiness & Technology Planning
- Define a 3-year technology roadmap aligned with business goals and market evolution.
- Evaluate emerging tech trends (AI, cloud, blockchain, automation) and implement relevant solutions.
- Collaborate with business and operations teams to align tech investments with growth strategies.
Execution & Engineering Excellence
- Establish world-class engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps, microservices, cloud architecture).
- Optimize for high performance, low latency, and fault tolerance in real-time operations.
- Spearhead technical transformations, re-architecture projects, and innovation initiatives.
Your skills and experience
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering & technology leadership roles.
- Experience in super apps or multi-service platforms with a proven track record of scaling high-transaction platforms with millions of daily users.
- Understanding of the on-demand services industry and its unique technical challenges.
- Deep expertise in microservices architecture, cloud computing, DevOps, and AI-driven solutions.
- Strong capex planning and cost optimization in tech infrastructure investments.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong hands-on technical expertise, willing to be deeply involved in system architecture and engineering challenges.
- Leadership: Led 100+ engineering, built engineering culture & managed engineering transformations.
