Job description
We are looking for a BU Head (Department Head) to lead and scale our Vehicle Cross Computing department, owning end-to-end program delivery, large-scale business, profit and lost (P&L), and strategic capability development in a fast-evolving automotive domain.
This role combines program leadership, business ownership, and organizational development, with a strong focus on driving business growth, strengthening customer engagement, accelerating innovation, and building long-term competitiveness in the rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Strategy Ownership
- Define and drive the department’s strategy, roadmap, and OKRs, ensuring strong alignment with the company’s overall strategy and business goals.
- Own P&L, financial planning, and cost optimization
- Manage and grow a focused customer/domain portfolio
2. Program & Delivery Excellence
- Lead end-to-end execution of large-scale, complex engineering programs
- Ensure delivery quality, risk management, and customer satisfaction
- Drive program governance and execution excellence
3. Organizational Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of program managers and engineers
- Drive performance culture, capability building, and talent development
4. Governance & Operations
- Establish scalable governance frameworks, processes, and policies
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality systems
5. Innovation & Capability Building
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency
- Develop long-term capabilities in vehicle cross computing
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with strong expertise in embedded systems, software engineering, and product development.
- Proven experience leading large-scale engineering programs and teams (200-300 headcounts)
- Strong track record managing business portfolio (USD 10M+)
- Experience in global, matrix organizations
- ADAS / SDV / vehicle cross computing domain experience
- Proven experience working directly with automotive OEMs.
- Strong stakeholder management, team leadership, and English communication skills.
