Backend Engineer (Golang, English, Product)

Job description

What You'll Do:

• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code primarily in Golang.
• Assist in the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, perform code reviews, and learn best practices.
• Work with databases to structure and manage application data.
• Contribute to documentation and system integrity.
• Learn and adhere to strict data security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA) essential for the healthcare domain.
• Participate in team scrums and planning sessions, bringing your ideas to the table.

Your skills and experience

What You'll Bring

• At least 1 year of professional experience in backend development, with a strong focus on or desire to specialize in Golang. (We value enthusiasm and quick learning!)
• Solid foundational understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with relational databases and basic SQL query writing.
• Basic knowledge of creating and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control tools, particularly Git.
• Eagerness to learn about cloud infrastructure and containerization (Docker).
• A proactive, problem-solving attitude and strong communication skills.
• A keen interest in the healthcare domain and its unique compliance requirements.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
• English: can communicate for work

Nice to Have

• Any prior exposure to the healthcare or healthtech industry.
• Experience with CI/CD tools.
• Understanding of basic security principles related to data handling.
