Backend Developer (PHP/ NodeJS/ Python)

Job description

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for web applications.

- Optimize database performance and structure for scalability and efficiency.

- Integrate third-party services and technologies into the backend system.

- Collaborate with Frontend, QA, and Product teams to ensure seamless product development.

- Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of the codebase.

- Write unit tests and implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.

- Troubleshoot and maintain backend systems post-deployment.

Your skills and experience

Must have:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
• Proficiency in server-side languages such as Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), PHP (Laravel), or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, and designing efficient database structures.
• Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration.
• Proficiency in Git for version control.
• Experience with task management and issue tracking tools like Jira, Redmine, or similar.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS, Docker, or other cloud and container technologies.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with TypeScript or GraphQL for backend development.
• Previous experience working in a Japanese IT company is a plus.
