Job description
An Internal Developer Platform (IDP) Testing Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of the internal tools and workflows that make up an IDP. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting bugs, and verifying that the IDP provides a seamless, self-service experience for development teams by automating common tasks and abstracting away infrastructure complexity.
- Collaborate with software developers and quality assurance teams to understand project requirements and functionality
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools
- Identify and report software defects in a clear and concise manner
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze test results and troubleshoot issues
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the automation testing process
Your skills and experience
You properly are a potential candidate for this position, if you have:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience or more in relevant positions
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python,…)
- Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies
- English proficiency at B1+ CEFR level or above (or equivalent) is required.
You will be a strong candidate if you have some of these
- Experience in working with Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)
