Job description

As an AI-Native Developer Intern at Icon Cloud Solutions, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable enterprise systems. We deploy developers across high-impact enterprise applications, including SAP, Microsoft, Tricentis, and OpenText. Your JavaScript/TypeScript expertise will be critical for working on the SAP BTP platform and building applications using the CAP Framework, adhering to "Clean Core" extensibility principles. 

The "AI-Native" Mindset: We are not just looking for someone who writes code; we are looking for a developer who leverages AI to multiply their output. You should have a strong aptitude for utilizing AI coding assistants, agentic workflows, and large language models (LLMs) to write, review, and optimize software faster and better. 

Your skills and experience

Key Skills & Qualifications 
AI-Augmented Coding: Strong proficiency in using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to accelerate the development lifecycle, debug complex logic, and refactor code. 
Applied AI: Foundational understanding of integrating LLMs via APIs, prompt engineering, and an eagerness to learn about Agentic AI frameworks, vector databases (like Qdrant or ChromaDB), and RAG architectures. 
Backend: Ability to design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using NodeJS. 
Frontend: Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and strong capabilities in modern frontend frameworks, particularly ReactJS. 
Database: Experience implementing data storage solutions with both SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB. 
Infrastructure: Familiarity with deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Docker Compose, and configuring Nginx for reverse proxying. 
OS: Comfortable operating within a Linux server environment for basic maintenance and optimization. 
Quality Assurance: Commitment to writing maintainable unit tests to ensure code quality.
