Our People
Engineering Manager - Duong Vu
My favourite part of the job is collaborating with talented people to solve complex problems. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn, improve, and innovate. Plus, seeing our solutions make a real impact is incredibly rewarding.
The coolest skill I’ve learned is working with people and developing leadership abilities. Managing teams, understanding different perspectives, and helping others grow have been both challenging and rewarding. It’s fulfilling to see how strong collaboration and effective leadership can drive success in any project.
Engineering Lead - Tam Chau
I chose Employment Hero because of the opportunity to work on innovative features like Smart Match, which challenges me as an engineer. I love solving complex problems, and the company’s remote-friendly culture and supportive environment make it the perfect place for me to thrive.
As an engineering lead and backend engineer, my day balances leadership and technical tasks. Mornings involve team updates, daily standups, and mentoring. Afternoons focus on backend development and optimizing performance. By the end of the day, I update project boards and set priorities for the next.
Engineering Manager - Khoi Doan
Working from home means I’ve made my desk my own. I’ve got a few plants, my favorite coffee mug within reach - and two of my favorite figures of Link from The Legend of Zelda standing guard on my desk. It’s a mix of productivity, creativity, and comfort.
My favorite part of working at Employment Hero is the opportunity to collaborate with talented people on exciting projects. Every challenge offers a new opportunity, and being surrounded by inspiring teammates makes the work dynamic, engaging, and deeply rewarding.
Engineering Manager - Hieu Bui
Among the skills I've gained, negotiation stands out. As an engineer, balancing product needs with technical constraints is vital. Negotiating with stakeholders ensures feature requests align with company values and goals. This skill has been crucial in pushing back when needed and driving better outcomes for both the product and the team.
The best part of this job is that my voice counts. I can raise concerns when tasks stray from strategy and suggest feature improvements. Technical input on stabilization, bug fixes, and cost-saving is valued. My efforts in troubleshooting, fixing vulnerabilities, and delivering features quickly are regularly recognized by peers and leadership.
Engineering Manager - Hieu Pham
The coolest thing about my job is working with a diverse team at Employment Hero. Different backgrounds bring fresh ideas, and a "fail fast, learn fast" culture encourages innovation and quick learning. The fast-paced environment drives rapid development, making the work both challenging and rewarding, with immediate impact from our efforts.
I can start my day at my favorite beach, skip the time wasted sitting in traffic, and instead spend that valuable time with my family. Being able to work remotely is a huge advantage. On top of that, the company offers a highly competitive salary and great benefits, making it the perfect combination for a fulfilling work-life balance.
Engineering Manager - Anh Le
At Employment Hero, trust plays a crucial role in personal development. Although I started from a modest position, my efforts, combined with the trust and support from leadership, have enabled me to take part in major projects and contribute to the company’s growth. I’m proud to be part of an organization where trust empowers growth and success.
Daily meetings to catch up on progress with teams, and meetings with managers to discuss resource planning and team development strategies. Reviewing and providing technical support or new technologies for current projects. 1:1 meetings with team members to listen to their concerns, offer advice or escalate issues to higher levels if needed.
