Senior Acoustic Engineer (Embedded, Matlab,Python,RTOS)

We are looking for a mid-level to senior Acoustic Engineer to join our R&D department with 5+ years of experience in design, prototyping and testing. This role is for someone who thrives on autonomy  — you will be setting the acoustic engineering foundation from scratch, working alongside embedded, electrical, software, and hardware engineers who are strong in their own disciplines. This department functions like a startup environment, so there are opportunities for career growth.

Expectations

• Play a key role in designing products from initial design to production stage
• Work with cross-functional teams at every stage of production to deliver various projects
• Able to interpret ambiguous technical documentation
• Component and system-level troubleshooting
• Test all necessary audio components
• Solid background in digital signal processing (dsp) for speech and audio
• Hand-on experiences with noise suppression and speech enhancement
• Experience with Python and MATLAB, and C/C++ programming
• Experience with low-power platforms or embedded

• Degree in Acoustics, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Equivalent
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing acoustic or audio hardware products from initial design through production
• Experience in audio products (acoustics and electronics)
• Experience with microphone array design and acoustic material selection
• Familiarity with speech masking and sound masking principles
• Experience working with cross-functional team members from multiple disciplines to reach fact-based decisions
• Experience with ANC hardware design — transducer placement, feedforward/feedback mic positioning, and enclosure geometry for ANC systems
• Ability to work independently as the sole acoustic specialist on the team
