Job description
As a member with programming expertise in a game team, your work consists of:
- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, with a focus on client and/or server-side functionalities of the game.
- Collaborating with game designers and artists to develop and implement game UI, gameplay to enhance player retention and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain the technical tools and Unreal Engine automation solutions to streamline the game development and content creation workflow.
- Optimizing the user experience and performance to ensure smooth experience on many devices (PlayStation, xBox, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS devices, Android phones).
- Fixing the bugs reported by the testing team to ensure the game quality before releasing to end users.
- Update, maintain, and enhance the UE as required for game’s development.
- Daily communicating in English with local team members and/or in team members from other Gameloft studios in Montreal, Brisbane, Barcelona… in cross studios project for global markets.

Your skills and experience
- Proficient in modern C++ and OOP, with strong Unreal Engine (C++ & Blueprint) expertise.
- Knowledge of physics, AI, and game graphics (shaders, 3D math, DirectX12, Vulkan) is a plus.
- Experience with other engines like Unity is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and self-learning skills.
- Passion for game development; English proficiency is a plus.
- Requirements for Seniors:
- Being familiar with agile scrum team principles.
- Experience with version control system as Git or Helix Perforce.
- Coaching junior developers for their career development.
- Exploring and implementing new technologies and tools to improve development process.
- Participating in code reviews, exchanging feedbacks to maintain high technical standards and foster team growth.
