1. UC Platform Implementation & Activation
- Configure and deploy new customer environments on UC platforms such as BroadSoft and 3CX.
- Create and manage users, extensions, device profiles, and endpoint configurations.
- Configure call flows, hunt groups, call queues, IVR, and auto-attendant structures.
- Configure SIP trunks and support number porting activities.
- Provision IP phones and communication devices.
- Perform testing and validation before production go-live.
- Maintain technical documentation and standard configuration templates.
2. Change Management
- Implement configuration changes for existing customer environments.
- Update call routing, call forwarding, numbering plans, and PBX configurations.
- Add, modify, or remove users, extensions, devices, licenses, and subscriptions.
- Process customer requests related to service expansions and modifications.
- Ensure all changes are documented and implemented according to operational procedures.
3. User Onboarding & Offboarding
- Configure communication services for new employees.
- Decommission users and communication services during offboarding.
- Reassign or release phone numbers and extensions.
- Update voicemail, permissions, call forwarding, and related configurations.
- Coordinate updates with administrative, procurement, billing, and carrier systems when required.
4. Support & Incident Management
- Investigate and resolve incidents affecting UC platforms and customer environments.
- Troubleshoot SIP registration, SIP trunk, and call setup issues.
- Diagnose voice quality problems, including latency, jitter, and packet loss.
- Analyze system logs and call traces to identify root causes.
- Handle support requests and incidents through the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to vendors or telecommunications carriers when necessary.
- Ensure incidents are resolved within agreed service levels (SLAs).
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Unified Communications (UC) or VoIP solutions implementation and support.
- Hands-on experience with BroadSoft and 3CX platforms.
- Knowledge of SIP, VoIP, IP Telephony, and PBX systems.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, NAT, QoS, and VPN.
- Experience troubleshooting voice quality and connectivity issues, including SIP registration, call routing, and trunk connectivity.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management processes.
- Ability to analyze logs, diagnose technical issues, and perform root cause analysis.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Phone or Cisco Unified Communications.
- Knowledge of SBC (Session Border Controller) and SIP trunk providers.
- Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or telecommunications environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Teams Administrator, or other UC-related certifications.
