Job description:
 

• Provides emergency response either by being on-call or by reacting to symptoms according to monitoring.
• Delivers production solutions that scale, identifying automation points, and proposing ideas on how to improve efficiency.
• Delivers projects, designs solutions, and identifies potential issues, tradeoffs and risks.
• Improves documentation all around, either in application documentation or in runbooks, explaining the why, not stopping with the what.
• Improves the performance of the system by either making better use of resources, distributing load or reducing the latency.
• Share the learnings publicly, either by creating issues that provide context for anyone to understand it or by writing blog posts.

Note: The position may require international travel for periods of 1 week to 3 months continuously, per year. 

Your skills and experience

• Have been working in data storage, core infrastructure, or platform teams for 2+ years.
• Professional experience using Python and Java.
• Operated at least one database system at scale.
• Deployed server software on Linux. You’ve debugged its problems, and analyzed and optimized its performance.
• Familiar with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Experience managing large infrastructure on Google Cloud .
• 5+ years of experience managing SQL ,MySQL at scale
• 2+ years of experience with automating systems and infrastructure using
• Proficient in a Linux environment including Linux internals and tuning
• Experience as a first responder for the data tier on a high-traffic site.
• Proficiency in automating administrative tasks using Python, Shell, Ansible, Go.
• Great expertise in SQL, able to review SQL statements and guide developers with best practices how to interact with the database,for a high-scale web environment.
• Process-oriented driven, iterating with the existent or creating new ones.
• Deep knowledge of the 2 of the areas of expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL ecosystem.
• Apply elevated testing practices to ensure smooth releases and changes.
• Good communication skills, collaboration and good working in a group.
