Job description

• Build and manage Grab's gateway systems, linking millions of consumer devices to hundreds of backend services through Grab's service mesh.
• Collaborate directly with software engineering and product teams to create secure solutions.
• Design and implement scalable, zero-downtime, multi-cloud network traffic routing and analytics solutions for Grab's public edge.
• Lead projects from launch to rollout, working across different teams.
• Resolve issues within Grab's infrastructure and codebase.
• Develop control and data-plane components, addressing production incidents as they arise.
• Write and review code in Go and Lua, mentoring peers and upholding code reviews and deployment processes.

Your skills and experience

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer role
• Fluent English
• Network Knowledge: Understanding TCP/IP, HTTP/[1, 2, 3], DNS.
• Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Provisioning & Automation: Experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Container Management: Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• System Troubleshooting: skills in troubleshooting within Linux environments.
• Programming Languages: Fluency in Bash, Python, or Go.
