Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team and help build secure, scalable, and maintainable Windows applications, SDKs, and platform components.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working on system-level challenges, application architecture, security-related features, and reusable platform foundations. You will work closely with our Apple Platform, Backend, and Security teams to design and deliver solutions used across multiple products.

What You Will Do

Platform & Application Development

• Design and develop Windows desktop applications.
• Build reusable platform modules, shared libraries, and SDKs.
• Contribute to application architecture and engineering standards.
• Develop maintainable and scalable software using modern development practices.

Security & Identity

• Work on authentication, device identity, certificate-based trust, and secure communication workflows.
• Integrate Windows security capabilities and platform APIs.
• Collaborate with security engineers to implement secure-by-design solutions.

Platform Engineering

• Participate in building shared platform foundations used across multiple products.
• Improve developer experience through reusable frameworks, tooling, and automation.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product, Backend, Security, and Apple Platform teams.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Your skills and experience

Required

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience developing Windows desktop applications.
• Good knowledge of C#, .NET, and modern application architecture principles.
• Experience with multithreading, asynchronous programming, and debugging.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and client-server applications.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
• Ability to learn new technologies and domains quickly.

Nice to Have

• Experience with WPF, WinUI, MAUI, or desktop UI frameworks.
• Experience building reusable libraries, SDKs, or shared components.
• Experience with authentication, security, certificates, or identity systems.
• Experience working on endpoint security, device management, or enterprise software.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Experience collaborating in cross-platform environments (Windows, macOS, iOS).
