Senior Infrastructure & Security Specialist

Job description

Network Administration:

• Design, configure, and manage complex LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Perform advanced network troubleshooting and optimization to ensure maximum network performance and uptime.
• Lead the implementation of advanced security measures such as VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation for enhanced protection.

Server Administration:

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise-level server hardware and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
• Lead server performance monitoring and capacity planning efforts, ensuring optimal resource utilization and scalability.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper-V) and implement advanced disaster recovery solutions.

Server Room, Data Center Management, Data Protection & Disaster Recovery:

• Oversee physical infrastructure management, including the planning of expansions, upgrades, and relocations as necessary.
• Implement and manage comprehensive data backup and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring business continuity in case of system failures or security breaches.

IT Security & Compliance:

• Implement, and manage security policies to protect the IT infrastructure from evolving cybersecurity threats.
• Follow up with security incident response efforts and ensure regular patching and vulnerability assessments are conducted.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and organizational policies.

Hardware and Software Management:

• Oversee the procurement, configuration, and lifecycle management of infrastructure hardware and software, including servers, storage solutions, and networking equipment.
• Resolve escalated hardware and software issues and implement proactive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.

Leadership and Mentorship:

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff, helping them develop their technical skills and grow within their roles.
• Document and establish best practices, system configurations, and procedures to streamline infrastructure operations.

Advanced IT Projects:

• Key role for IT infrastructure projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
• Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, such as cloud platforms (AWS), for enhanced scalability and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with the IT leadership team and other departments to ensure IT solutions meet organizational needs.

Your skills and experience

Education: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: 

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations, or a technical support environment, with a focus on advanced enterprise systems, with multiple sites. Working for global companies is a plus.

Expertise Skills: 

• Expertise in IT systems, networking, and infrastructure components, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, Citrix, Office 365, Zabbix, Grafana, ...
• Proficiency with enterprise networking protocols and hardware, including Cisco, HP, switches, Wi-Fi AP (Ruckus, Aruba), and Firewalls (Palo Alto, FortiGate).
• Experience in project management.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
