About you

You’re an AI-native developer who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves writing code with AI tools at your side. You want to build impactful products end-to-end, solve complex problems, and have a real say in technical decisions. You’re excited by the idea of being the first engineer for HireAra in Vietnam and growing into a leadership role as we scale the team.

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop scalable full-stack applications using Python, React, and Node.js.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python for our AI-driven recruitment platform.
• Work on full-stack projects with modern technologies (TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python).
• Solve complex technical challenges, optimise system performance, and roll out new features.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to create seamless, intuitive user experiences.
• Influence technical decisions and participate in architectural discussions.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement processes.
• Help define and shape the engineering culture at HireAra.

Your skills and experience

Requirements - Must Have

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Proven experience with Python backend development, APIs, and scalable services.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Track record of shipping high-quality production code in agile environments.
• Passion for crafting great user experiences.
• Comfort working in a start-up style environment — adaptable, proactive, resourceful.
• Competent and confident in building with AI tools — you love leveraging AI in your development workflow to build faster and better.

Requirements - Nice to Have

• Experience in technical architecture and decision-making.
• Experience leading a team. 
• Previous start-up or scale-up engineering experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Contributions to open-source projects or notable personal projects.
