Job description

OVERVIEW
The Senior Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for deploying, operating, and optimizing the company's entire database system across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and on-premises data centers (private cloud) located in Vietnam.

Job Purpose:

• Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of data systems by:
• Deploying and operating a diverse range of database systems.
• Optimizing performance and designing data protection strategies.
• Building high-availability solutions and automating operational workflows.
• Providing advanced technical support and team training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deploy, operate, and upgrade database systems, including: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, and TiDB.
• Optimize performance, fine-tune queries, and design robust backup/recovery strategies to ensure data security.
• Build High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, alongside automating database operations and management workflows.
• Provide advanced database support for application and business operations.
• Develop operational documentation, author runbooks for operations/monitoring/troubleshooting, and conduct training for L1 support teams.

Your skills and experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a DBA.

Technical Skills:

• Deep knowledge of architecture and hands-on experience operating large-scale RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL), as well as data migration experience.
• Experience operating distributed systems and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, TiDB) at a large scale across multiple data centers.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, Bash) to automate administrative tasks.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work under high pressure.
• Excellent teamwork and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
• Strong capability in research, knowledge sharing, and training
