The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys both building software and solving complex production challenges.

This role combines software development with production ownership. Approximately 70% of your time will focus on development, delivering new features, platform improvements, and technical enhancements. The remaining 30% will focus on production support, troubleshooting issues, investigating incidents, and ensuring a reliable experience for users.

Because this role works closely with our U.S.-based team, need strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate during overlapping U.S. business hours are essential.

We are looking for someone who can quickly understand systems, identify root causes, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and take ownership until problems are fully resolved.

Key Responsibilities: 

Software Development (70%)

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions.
• Build new features and enhance existing products.
• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Review code and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Production Support & Troubleshooting (30%)

• Investigate and resolve production issues impacting users and business operations.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
• Analyze application logs, system behavior, database records, and performance metrics.
• Work directly with U.S.-based stakeholders to diagnose and resolve incidents.
• Support critical business applications and ensure platform stability.
• Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and operational improvements.
• Take ownership of incidents and drive resolution with urgency and professionalism.

Your skills and experience

Must-Have Qualifications

• up to 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience building and maintaining production-grade applications.
• Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Comfortable communicating directly with U.S.-based stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience investigating and resolving production issues in live systems.
• Ability to quickly understand complex applications, workflows, and system architecture.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
• Comfortable working during overlapping U.S. business hours.
• Available to start work from 7:00 PM Vietnam Time on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in SaaS, Healthcare Technology, FinTech, or Product companies.
• Experience supporting customer-facing applications in production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Experience working with distributed international teams.
