Job description

Seamless.insure is an end-to-end SaaS-based insurance management platform designed to empower underwriters and distributors with efficiency, compliance, and superior customer experiences. Our platform is adaptable, innovative, and crafted to address the complexities of the
insurance sector.

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for planning and executing test cases, identifying defects, and working closely with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create test plans and contribute to defining acceptance criteria with Product/BA.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Build and enhance automation testing frameworks for web applications.
  • Create, execute, and maintain test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-toend testing.
  • Support integration of automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps
  • Identify, document, track bugs to closure and perform root-cause analysis in collaboration with developers.
  • Maintain and improve automated/manual test suites and assist in enhancing test processes.
  • Follow and support compliance with Data Privacy and Security regulations during testing.
  • Support or co-facilitate UAT sessions and ensure proper documentation and sign-off
  • Analyze test results to identify root causes and suggest improvements when applicable.
  • Provide clear test reports for major issues and actively participate in project meetings
  • Follow and support security policies and compliance practices in testing activities
  • Share knowledge with team members and contribute to documentation of testing practices.
  • Explore and evaluate new testing tools and technologies, staying current with industry trends.
  • Work independently on assigned testing tasks with minimal supervision, while seeking guidance when necessary
  • Engage in self-study to continuously enhance your testing skills, supported by senior members
  • Communicate with the development team to understand project requirements and acquire in-depth project knowledge.
  • Actively participate in sprint activities (planning, grooming, retrospectives).
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure that user stories are well-defined and testable.

Your skills and experience

Must-Have

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in API testing using Postman
  • Strong experience with Playwright for web application testing.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript
  • Experience in designing and maintaining automation test framework using Playwright or Selenium
  • Experienced in creating and executing functional and non-functional test cases
  • Strong English communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail paired with logical & critical thinking
  • Familiar with working in hybrid (Waterfall-Agile) SDLC, Scrum methodologies.

Nice-to-have

  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification (or equivalent)
  • Experienced in both Enterprise Web Applications and Mobile Applications testing methodologies.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, test generation tools) to enhance QA productivity
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge in Insurance Applications will be added advantage
