Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION 

  • Write and execute manual test scenarios from Agile story acceptance criteria and Waterfall Specification to ensure application quality 
  • Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on Agile user stories and Waterfall specifications. 
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and usability testing to ensure high-quality application releases. 
  • Identify, document, and track defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues in collaboration with developers and product teams. 
  • Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases, potential security loopholes, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure compliance with testing best practices, industry standards, and security guidelines. 
  • Participate in test planning, effort estimation, risk assessment, and test strategy discussions.
  • Write and execute automation testing scripts for automated regression testing 
  • Achieve accreditation in quality analysis for web application
  • Research and document innovative manual testing approaches for CMS-driven web applications (Drupal, Kentico, Sitefinity, Sitecore).   

TASKS WILL INCLUDE 

  • Evaluate test results and accurately record defects using Jira & Zephyr 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports for web and mobile applications. 
  • Perform UI/UX testing, cross-browser testing, and responsive testing for various devices and screen resolutions. 
  • Execute API testing manually using tools like Postman. 
  • Validate application behavior against business requirements and compliance standards.
  • Conduct compatibility testing across different OS, browsers, and mobile devices. 
  • Accurately log defects using Jira & Zephyr, ensuring clear reproduction steps and impact analysis. 
  • Work closely with development, product management, and support teams to ensure defects are resolved efficiently. 
  • Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and provide detailed feedback. 
  • Participate in test documentation. 
  • Test mobile/web apps for validation errors, SEO errors, real-world latency optimization errors, “China Banned Word” errors, 
  • Write/run Selenium scripts to test multiple device/browser combinations accurately. 
  • Write/run Jmeter scripts to performance test platforms & applications 
  • Other activities as instructed by management 
  • Perform database validation to ensure data integrity and consistency if needed.  

Your skills and experience

Must have: 

  • Professional business English 
  • Degrees in IT / computer sciences or equivalent. 
  • Hands-on experience with testing services (Browserstack, Crossbrowsertesting, Blazemeter, Visual Testing) 
  • Experience with testing systems (Zephyr, Selenium, Jmeter) 
  • Detailed and meticulous attention to detail with the abilities to work independently and able cope with pressure
  • Must be adaptable, self-motivated, solution oriented and eager to learn new technology 
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle. 
  • Ability to write and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts. 
  • Experience in testing responsive web applications and mobile applications. 

Nice to have: 

  • Any ISTQB certification is a big plus
  • Any CMS knowledge
