BUSINESS TRAVEL CLUB

The HRS Business Travel Club (BTC) is the Business Unit managing and developing the HRS E-Commerce platforms of the well-known hotel portal businesses of HRS.de and HOTEL.DE that gradually transform into much more than “just” a platform. BTC provides its members, individual business travelers and SMEs, with a distinct range of exclusive services, which shape tomorrow´s upgraded travel experience. The goal of BTC is to deliver growth as well as sustainable profitability over time by enhancing customer loyalty between the brand and its customers, enabling the Brands Repositioning in the marketplace and unlocking additional potentials via optimized supplier management. Thus, BTC and its products, plays an important role in HRS´s DACH strategy as it revolves around a disruption of the interplay between hotel and workplace supply and e-commerce and a domination of the Business Travel DACH market. Your mission is to further develop and shape the "The HRS Business Travel Club" and its solutions and make it the next innovation of the HRS Group together with a great team.

 

POSITION

As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with our Product and Development teams to design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases that ensure our digital products meet our high standards of quality. You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing processes, leveraging modern frameworks and monitoring tools. Your expertise will contribute to the continuous improvement of our solutions that support a dynamic, personalized travel experience and contribute to the company's vision of becoming the mobile travel companion for business travelers.

 

CHALLENGE

Together with your team, you will take the customer view first and raise the bar in delivering business travel solutions by:

  • Develop and implement detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing
  • Design and implement automation test frameworks and scripts for web applications built with NextJS
  • Perform manual testing of mobile applications (Flutter) and responsive web applications across different devices and screen sizes
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Monitor application performance and analyze logs using New Relic
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and ensure the quality of the product
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing and monitoring tools
  • Monitor debugging process results and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts)
  • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

 

Your skills and experience

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

  • 3+ years of proven hands-on QA Engineer experience with both manual and automated testing
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium
  • Experience with manual mobile application testing across different devices and operating systems
  • Experience with responsive web design testing and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience with NextJS applications testing and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of log analysis and application monitoring tools, particularly New Relic
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Attention to detail and a passion for excellence
  • Good communication skills as you have to deal with numerous stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a team, fast learning, and enthusiasm for the realization of innovative products
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written
