Job description

Position Overview:

Buymed is Vietnam’s and Southeast Asia’s top healthtech company. We improve healthcare quality and access for practitioners, patients, and all other stakeholders (pharmaceutical producers, distributors, logistics providers, and pharmacists) by using transformational technology

We specialize in developing cutting-edge Point of Sale (POS) systems that streamline business operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive growth. Our team is passionate about creating user-friendly products that meet the evolving needs of businesses.

Key Responsibilities:


1/ Product Strategy & Roadmap:

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the POS system, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry developments, and competitor offerings.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish product vision, key performance indicators (KPIs), and go-to-market strategies.


2/ Product Development & Lifecycle Management:

  • Lead the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring products are delivered on time and meet customer expectations.
  • Work closely with engineering, UX/UI, and other teams to ensure product features are well-designed, user-friendly, and scalable.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business value, and technical feasibility.

3/ Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage directly with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to gather feedback, identify pain points, and understand market needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and act as a subject matter expert on POS systems.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.

4/ Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Use analytics and customer feedback to monitor the performance of the POS product, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Create and track metrics for product performance, customer satisfaction, and financial success.

5/ Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure seamless product development and go-to-market execution.
  • Guide the team through the Agile product development process, conducting sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure product messaging and positioning resonate with target audiences.

6/ Market Analysis & Competitive Benchmarking:

  • Continuously analyze the POS market to stay ahead of emerging trends, technologies, and customer expectations.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and identify opportunities to differentiate our POS products in the market.

7/ Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing innovations to enhance product capabilities and overall user experience.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements and evaluate their potential impact on the POS product.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on POS systems or related technology products.
  • Strong understanding of POS hardware, software, and payment processing.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and managing the full product lifecycle.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with POS platforms, payment gateways, APIs, and integration technologies.
  • Preferred: Experience working in the retail or pharma industries is highly desirable.
