Job description
As a Manual QC Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Test Case Development: Design, document, and execute comprehensive test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications to ensure that all software functionality is thoroughly validated.
- Test Planning: Develop and maintain detailed test plans that outline the scope, objectives, resources, schedule, and methodologies for testing activities across projects.
- Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing to ensure software functionality and performance align with business requirements and standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to identify, document, and resolve software defects.
- Agile Contribution: Participate in Agile delivery processes, contributing to project planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for large-scale initiatives.
- Problem Solving: Utilize strong analytical skills to conduct root cause analysis on defects and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of test cases, results, and defects, ensuring clarity and traceability for future reference.
- Automation Support: While focusing on manual testing, support automation efforts by writing Python scripts and familiarizing yourself with tools such as Selenium and Appium (preferred).
- Effective Communication: Ensure clear and timely communication with team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates on testing progress and defect statuses.
Your skills and experience
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of solid experience in Manual QA/testing, preferably within the insurance/Banking/Finance industry
- Strongly design test cases and experience with test plan
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills to effectively identify and address issues.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English

Agile Experience: Prior experience working within Agile methodologies, particularly in large projects, to enhance collaboration and delivery.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium and Appium is a plus; experience in writing Python scripts is preferred.
Degrees & Certifications:
- Bachelor's or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, or similar is preferred
