MercTechs, a subsidiary of MercTrans, is looking for a talented and motivated Software Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in manual and automation testing frameworks with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies. You will work on a variety of exciting projects, ranging from manufacturing management systems to AI developments, in a hybrid and flexible work environment.

Working location: 5th floor, Number 16, Lane 71, Linh Lang Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.

• Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our Odoo development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Odoo ERP implementations through systematic testing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute comprehensive test cases for Odoo modules and customizations
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of Odoo modules
• Validate data migration accuracy and integrity across Odoo implementations
• Work closely with developers to identify, document, and track software defects
• Test custom reports and workflows in Odoo business applications
• Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) sessions with stakeholders

Your skills and experience

Required Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience in software testing, preferably with Odoo or similar ERP systems
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
• Experience with test case creation and execution
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation and testing (Optional)
• Understanding of business processes in ERP, MRP, MES systems
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Odoo versions 14.0 and above
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Knowledge of Python programming language is a plus (not required)
• Experience with test automation tools is a plus (not required)
• ISTQB certification or equivalent
• Understanding of manufacturing, inventory, or accounting processes

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in test management tools
• Basic understanding of XML and JSON
• Experience with bug tracking systems
• Knowledge of database testing

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good documentation skills
• Proactive approach to identifying potential issues
