Role Overview
As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining the databases that power our SaaS platforms, e-commerce systems, CRM solutions, analytics platforms, and AI-powered applications.
You will work closely with Software Engineers, AI Engineers, Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, and Product teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance data solutions. This role requires strong SQL skills, database design expertise, performance optimization knowledge, and the ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity and development efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Database Design & Development
● Design, develop, and maintain relational databases using MySQL, SQL Server, and other database technologies.
● Create and optimize database schemas, tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database jobs.
● Design scalable database structures that support business growth and evolving product requirements.
● Review and improve database architecture to ensure maintainability and performance.
Performance Optimization
● Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database workloads.
● Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.
● Monitor database health, capacity, and performance metrics.
● Recommend and implement indexing, partitioning, and optimization strategies.
Data Engineering & Integration
● Develop data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations between systems.
● Support data synchronization across operational systems, CRM platforms, SaaS applications, analytics platforms, and AI systems.
● Ensure data consistency, integrity, and reliability across multiple environments.
● Collaborate with development teams to design efficient data access patterns and APIs.
Database Administration Support
● Assist in managing database objects, permissions, security, backups, and recovery processes.
● Support database deployment, migration, and upgrade activities.
● Help maintain high availability, reliability, and disaster recovery readiness.
● Follow database governance, security, and compliance standards.
Analytics & Reporting Support
● Develop datasets, views, and reporting structures that support business intelligence and analytics.
● Collaborate with business teams to provide accurate and reliable data solutions.
● Support reporting platforms, dashboards, and operational reporting needs.
AI-Assisted Development
● Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Gemini, or similar technologies to improve database development productivity.
● Use AI to assist with query optimization, schema design, documentation, troubleshooting, and code generation.
● Identify opportunities to improve database operations through automation and AI technologies.

Your skills and experience

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications
● Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
● Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
● Experience with MySQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
● Understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
● Familiarity with stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and database performance tuning.
● Basic understanding of ETL processes and data integration concepts.
● Familiarity with Git, source control, and software development processes is a plus.
Preferred Technical Skills
● Experience with BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or cloud database services.
● Familiarity with data warehousing and analytics platforms.
● Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations.
● Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
● Experience working with large datasets is an advantage.
AI & Productivity Skills
● Practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Copilot, or similar technologies.
● Ability to leverage AI to improve development productivity and problem-solving.
