LG has chosen Flutter to enhance their smart TV operating system, webOS, a Linux kernel-based OS.

We are also expanding the use of Flutter across a wide range of embedded devices, including infotainment systems, smart monitors, refrigerators, thermostats, and more.

Flutter’s performance, productivity, and rich ecosystem enable LG to rapidly develop and deploy system applications that run smoothly on webOS and other embedded platforms.

By 2025, Flutter will power system applications on tens of millions of LG smart TVs and other devices worldwide.

At LG CTO VSL, we are seeking passionate engineers eager to explore new frontiers of Flutter development on embedded devices—going beyond mobile and web. You will be part of a forward-thinking team, innovating with Flutter for non-traditional platforms.

As a member of application engineering team in LG CTO VSL, your roles & responsibilities will be as follows:

• Collaborate with local engineering teams, product managers, and program managers at VSL and remotely with teams in Korea to build and ship applications for embedded systems.
• Deliver high-quality engineering output, including source code, engineering documentation, test results, and release notes.
• As a senior engineer, you will conduct code reviews, mentor junior team members, and ensure code quality across the team.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor's (or higher) degree in computer science or the relating fields.
• Have at least 3 years experience in Flutter engine OR Flutter (Dart language) app or widget development for mobile or embedded device.
• Have experience using Github, Jenkins, Travis CI tool
• Can communicate in English, mostly for the technical communication with the collaborating scrum teams
• Experience in Agile Scrum methodology.
