Cloud Engineer (AWS, Azure)

Job description

As a Cloud Engineering, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Design and engineer secure and reliable cloud infrastructures for both internal and external projects based on FWD Group's cloud platform strategy.
• Translate proposed architectural views into actionable engineering solutions that adhere to our security and data protection standards.
• Participate in the development and configuration of native, hybrid, and multi-cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Proactively monitor and resolve cloud service issues, enhance scalability, upgrade security controls, and troubleshoot any issues affecting user experience on the FWD Group cloud platform.
• Collaborate effectively with delivery teams to support the implementation of data applications on the FWD Group cloud platforms.
• Assist in the product/project delivery lifecycle, including installation, release, configuration of application systems, and open-source software, while providing necessary security controls evidence.
• Offer support for cloud resource monitoring and optimization initiatives aimed at reducing cloud costs.

Your skills and experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in deploying and managing the lifecycle of platform services on Azure and AWS public cloud infrastructures.
• Mandatory experience with Confluent (Kafka) platforms and Confluent Cloud.
• Experience with AKS/EKS Containerized development and maintenance
• Experience with monitoring solutions like Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Azure/AWS CLI, with experience in configuration management on Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with GitOps processes, CI/CD methodologies, and infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency in English, with the ability to handle English documents and communicate independently with clients. Knowledge of Mandarin/Cantonese is an added advantage.
