We are at an inflection point. Having achieved an eight figure ARR business, we are focusing our efforts to capture more of the $4-5 trillion health and fitness market by going direct to consumers. Our team spans from San Francisco to Vietnam, with senior leaders who have built and scaled products at Netflix, Apple, Meta, Nike, Hulu, Uber, Amazon, Hypebeast, and Quibi. We are building the next unicorn to come out of Vietnam, and we are looking for a confident leader who can help us get there.

Position Overview
Our Vietnam team is the engine behind Everfit. Today, we're a team of around 170 people - approximately 150 in Da Nang and 20 in Hanoi - who have built the product that has become a category leader in just five years since launch.

The next chapter is about scaling our platform, accelerating innovation, and leveraging AI across every aspect of how we build and operate. We're focused on moving faster with precision, solving complex technical challenges, and building systems that can support millions of users while maintaining reliability, performance, and security.

We're looking for a Backend Engineer to help power the core infrastructure and services behind Everfit. In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines that support our products and AI initiatives. You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders across Vietnam and the US to deliver high-quality solutions that drive business impact. This is an opportunity to solve meaningful technical challenges, contribute to a fast-growing product, and help shape the future of health and fitness technology.

Your impact

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and help evolve our microservices architecture.
• Translate business and customer needs into reliable, high-performance applications.
• Collaborate closely with a small, agile team through scrum rituals, prototyping, and code reviews.
• Contribute to the overall architecture, scalability, and quality of our backend systems.

Your skills and experience

• 5+ years of professional experience working with Node.js (ES6).
• Intermediate English communication skills.
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and backend architecture.
• Experienced with Express.js, MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiar with unit testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha, and passionate about code quality.
• Able to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, ECS, Lambda).
• Familiarity with message queues (e.g., Kafka, SQS).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, ECS).
• Familiar with authentication/authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, JWT).
