Venture Data Analyst (Python/R , English)

Job description

We are seeking a Venture Data Analyst to help maintain and improve our CRM database of startups, founders, and deals across Southeast Asia and to incorporate data-driven decision-making into our investment process.
What You’ll Do

CRM (Affinity) System Management:

• Design and maintain weekly pipeline reports for Investors
• Run and optimise processes to ensure deals are properly loaded
• Engage with Investors to ensure active pipeline management in line with company policy
• Build dashboards and ad-hoc reports for investor team to discuss startup deals and country markets
• Collect and prepare Investors dashboard report for performance management reviews

Process and System improvement:

• Design and implement workflows, procedures, and software to automate and improve data collection with a “best practice” mindset
• Customize existing CRM database to enable more efficient and accurate organization of data across investor team
• Enrich startup database with complementary data sources to improve decision-making
• Make iterative improvements to streamline tools and systems based on team feedback to increase relevance, usefulness and convenience

Your skills and experience

• High Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
• Microsoft PowerBI, Looker Studio and coding experience in Python/R would be helpful
• Effective English communication skills to drive organization collaboration and learning
• Reliable and detail oriented mindset and process discipline while multi-tasking several projects
• Willingness to take initiative and operate independently
• Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work as part of a team remotely while maintaining communication with broader team
• Enthusiasm for startups and venture capital
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience mandatory
