Job description

We are currently seeking a talented Senior Native Mobile Engineer to join our team for the Live VPN product and E2EE (End-to-End Encryption) Messaging product. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mobile application development, with expertise in building native applications for iOS and Android using Swift and Kotlin. As a Senior Native Mobile Engineer, not only will you collaborate proactively and responsibly with design and backend teams to create engaging and responsive user interfaces that deliver a seamless user experience, but you will also serve as a mentor to your teammates to help meet the product qualities and delivery goals.

Key responsibilities:

● Develop mobile applications using Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android platforms.

● Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX designs into high-quality code and user interfaces.

● Implement responsive designs and ensure compatibility across different devices and screen sizes.

● Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.

● Integrate with backend services and APIs to support application functionality.

● Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and

coding standards.

● Take initiatives to improve the codebase proactively. Propose and set better engineering solutions for the team.

● Guarantee user privacy by adopting security practices including encryption, secure communication protocols, and data protection.

● Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in iOS and

Android native application development.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend developers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software products.

Your skills and experience

● Proven experience of at least 4 years as a Senior Native Mobile Engineer with a strong portfolio of mobile applications built for both iOS and Android using Swift and Kotlin.

● Strong understanding of mobile app design principles and user interface guidelines for iOS and Android platforms, including architectural approaches such as MVVM or VIPER in iOS and Modern App Architecture in Android.

● Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.

● Experience with full-cycle Mobile App Development from design to deployment in the app store (Apple App Store and Google Play).

● Good understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, sockets or End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) is a plus.

● Good understanding of protocols such as SSL/TLS, and HTTP/HTTPS.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

● Experience with mobile development for VPN / network-related products or E2EE

messaging products is a plus.

● Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

● Good knowledge of secure coding practices.

● Excellent at teamwork and communication, great attention to detail.

● Experience running large-scale applications and global understanding of systems

internals and tools like crash analytics, remote debugging, and continuous integration.

● Highly accountable and takes ownership of one’s own work.
