Job description

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using best in class platforms for testing RESTful APIs, end-to-end
• scenarios across multiple systems, integration testing etc.
• Create and execute performance/load tests using Apache JMeter to validate system behavior under stress and volume
• Define test strategies, traceability matrices, and coverage plans in collaboration with Business Analysts, Developers, and ProductOwners
• Implement CI/CD test automation within delivery pipelines within and AWS GitLab
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to build reusable test libraries, mocks, & test data setups
• Provide quality gates for release decisions, contributing to go/no-go calls and readiness assessments
• Support UAT, SIT, dress rehearsals, and production verification cycles

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role you must have:

• 3+ years in test automation roles, ideally in complex, integrated enterprise environments
• Experience testing across multiple systems and APIs in a retail, ecommerce, or supply chain environment
• Strong scripting and coding abilities (Java, JavaScript, Groovy, or similar)
• Familiarity with mocking/stubbing frameworks and test virtualization techniques
• Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating tests into automated pipelines
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and an analytical mindset
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and contribute to multiple teams concurrently

Nice to Have

• Hands-on knowledge of JMeter for performance testing, including test plan design, parameterization, and reporting
• Proven experience using platforms such Karate Labs for API and E2E testing
• Experience with additional test tools like Postman, Selenium, Playwright, Gatling, or REST Assured
• Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with Agile testing practices (BDD, TDD, exploratory testing)
• Understanding of message-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, Kafka, etc.)
