Job description
We are looking for a PHP Developer with experience in e-commerce website development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a good background in PHP programming, expertise in popular e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento, and a solid understanding of web development best practices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining e-commerce websites, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
- Develop, customize, and maintain e-commerce websites using PHP-based platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce.
- Build and optimize custom themes, plugins, and modules for different e-commerce platforms.
- Ensure websites are responsive, mobile-friendly, and SEO-optimized for better performance.
- Develop and integrate third-party APIs (payment gateways, shipping providers, CRM, ERP, etc.).
- Work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks for smooth data exchange.
- Optimize database queries and performance for MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Enhance website speed, security, and scalability for better user experience.
- Implement security measures to protect e-commerce transactions and data.
- Troubleshoot and debug performance issues to ensure seamless functionality.
Your skills and experience
- At least 1-2 year experience in PHP or Magento
- Strong proficiency in PHP and experience with frameworks like Laravel, or CodeIgniter.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify, or BigCommerce is a big plus.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies – HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery, React, or Vue is a plus).
- Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB
- Familiarity with payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net) and shipping API integrations.
- Version control experience using Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, schema markup, and structured data for e-commerce.
- Understanding of website performance optimization and caching strategies.
