Job description

The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data systems that drive data-driven decision-making, business analysis, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams like Data Analysts, Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and availability while developing robust ETL pipelines and integrating diverse data sources.

• Develop and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to support business needs with minimal downtime.
• Integrate data from multiple internal systems (e.g., e-commerce, inventory, production) into a unified data store.
• Ensure data quality, transformation, and standardization for accurate analysis, reporting, and ML model usage.
• Automate reporting and dashboard development to provide real-time insights for stakeholders.
• Implement robust data security protocols and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain and optimize data infrastructure for high performance and scalability.

Your skills and experience

• 3-5 years in data engineering or a related field.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python (for data processing and automation) and SQL (for database queries & ETL).
• Good at Metabase
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI for clear reporting.
• Data Tools: Experience with ETL tools like Apache Airflow, Talend, or Informatica.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines, managing large datasets, and performing data integration.
• Databases: Strong experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and Data Warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake, Clickhouse).
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS or other cloud-based solutions.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new data technologies, including tools for Big Data (Hadoop, Apache Spark, or Kafka) and cloud based data storage solutions (S3, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Attention to detail and focus on data accuracy.
• Ownership and accountability in work deliverables
