Job description

The Programmer / Developer will be a key part of the Information technology department that builds, supports, and scales the IT business applications or projects of South Asia services and entities. This individual will ensure the systems are within quality and meeting the service performance expectation

Responsibilities

• Involved in design, develop, and maintain user-facing features using React.js
• Translate design Figma into high-quality code
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers 
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs 
• Debug and resolve issues in the frontend codebase 
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following industry best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features for one or more system applications 
• Prepares technical and user documentation.

Your skills and experience

• Proven experience as a Frontend Developer in MERN stack applications, and integrating enterprise systems
• Proficiency in React.js, including React Hooks, Context API, and state management libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux, or MobX)
• Strong proficiency in HTML., CSS, and Javascript (ES6+)/Typescript
• Experience with frontend build tools like Webpack, Babel, and Vite
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries (e.g., Axios, GraphQL)
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket)
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design
• Understanding of code optimization, security best practices, and cross-browser compatibility
• Demonstrable portfolio of projects in the technologies listed above 
• Process strong analytical skills 

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and Next.js 
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, or Cypress)
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and tools (Figma, Sketch)
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure, or CI/CD flow
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications 

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 1+ years of professional experience in Frontend development using React.js for junior position 
• 3+ years of professional experience in Frontend development using React.js for senior position
