Job description
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale data storage systems (Data Warehouse, Data Lake) to support analytics and game product optimization.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure automatic data collection (streaming or daily), processing, and readiness for use.
- Integrate diverse data sources (game analytics, marketing, monetization) from internal platforms and third-party tools (Firebase, Appsflyer, Unity Analytics, etc.).
- Optimize data processing performance and improve the accuracy and responsiveness of related systems, such as data pipelines and data warehouses.
- Support the creation of dashboards and automated reports for departments like Product, Marketing, and Game Design.
- Collaborate closely with Game Design, UA, and Monetization teams to develop workflows and architecture for data pipelines and data marts, enabling player behavior analysis and enhancing the game experience.
- Ensure data security and compliance with company standards and legal regulations.
Your skills and experience
Knowledge & Technical Skills:
Experience:
- Junior: At least 1 year of experience in a Data Engineer or equivalent role.
- Mid/Senior: 2-4 years of experience designing and implementing large-scale data processing systems.
Skills:
- Proficient in data programming languages: Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience with big data processing tools: Hadoop, Spark, or Airflow.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), especially tools like Docker, BigQuery, Redshift, or Dataflow.
- Expertise in data modeling, query optimization, and Data Warehouse system design.
- Experience with visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, especially with non-technical teams.
- Interest in the gaming industry; candidates with knowledge of game data analytics (churn rate, ARPU, LTV) are preferred.
