Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support our cloud-based data infrastructure. This role is responsible for deploying and managing SQL Servers and Cosmos DB, developing and optimizing T-SQL queries, and designing Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for data integration. The ideal candidate will ensure performance, security, and availability of database systems while automating data processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases and Cosmos DB in Azure.
• Develop, tune, and troubleshoot T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Build and manage ADF pipelines for data integration and automation.
• Monitor database performance, indexing, and security to ensure reliability.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.

Your skills and experience

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience with SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Factory.
• Strong T-SQL skills and expertise in query optimization.
• Experience with database security, performance tuning, and data governance.
• Familiarity with networking and authentication in Azure.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database and ETL issues independently.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
