ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking motivated Senior Java Engineers who are passionate & will be applying 
your technical skills to develop and run industry leading Fraud prevention and 
investigation platforms in a rapidly evolving Fraud landscape enabling protection of our 
customers and colleagues.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze, design, and implement features that enhance the business or customer  experience; Automate technology operational processes, including change 
  deployment, application resilience, monitoring/alerting, and user self-service.
• Take guidance from the Engineer Manager, and set standards for design, process, 
  and tech workload allocation within the scrum team. Ensures sufficient design 
  guidance exists at story kick-off.
• Take ownership and accountability for production service, including fix on fail, 
  problem investigation, root cause determination, and resolution.
• Participate in the delivery of automated production change, understanding change 
  content, executing change control procedures, appropriate technical and business 
  verification, and user communications.
• Participate in and provide quality assurance activities, including code reviews, 
  white-box testing, test coverage for own work, etc. Debugging and fixing code 
  defects.

Your skills and experience

Must have

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in a complex development 
  environment.
• Solid experience in Java 8+ and Springboot.
• Good English communication skills (both verbal & written), especially in the global 
  software development environment.
• Experience in designing & developing RESTful APIs  and  microservices based systems.
• Experience with distributed, event-driven systems and using messaging protocols. 
• Messaging middleware such as Apache Kafka is preferred.
• Experience in Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, etc).

Nice-to-have

• Practical experience in Containers (ECS, Kubernetes, Docker) and FaaS (AWS 
  Lambda) technologies.
• Experience in modern CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Git, Ansible, Jenkins, NPM, 
  Gradle).
• Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
