Job description

Creation, management of spatial database schema, and writing of REST API.

Creation of Collaboration database and REST API based on BCF format.

• PostgreSQL & SQL: Strong understanding of PostgreSQL database and ability to write efficient SQL queries, including joins, aggregations, and window functions.
• PostGIS: In-depth knowledge of PostGIS functionalities for spatial data management. This includes working with geometric data types (points, lines, polygons), performing spatial operations (ST_Distance, ST_Intersects, etc.), and leveraging spatial functions for analysis (buffering, nearest neighbors, etc.).
• Spatial Indexing: Understanding of different spatial indexing techniques (R-Tree, GiST) and their impact on query performance.

API Development: Experience building secure and scalable APIs (RESTful preferred) that interact with the POSGIS database. Familiarity with API frameworks like Django REST Framework, Flask-RESTful, or Express.js is a plus.

Your skills and experience

Skills needed

• Bachelor’s degree or higher Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience 
• Backend Programming Language: Proficiency in a backend programming language like Python, Java, or Node.js for writing the API server and interacting with the database.
• Version Control System: Experience using Git for version control and collaboration.

Preference

• Experience in OpenGL or 3D CAD
