Job description

We are currently seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer with solid experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in software development and operations, with expertise in implementing and managing continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. 
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in automating and streamlining our development processes, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. In this role, your focus is on the infrastructure side, however the expected outcome is you collaborating proactively and responsibly with different teams to ensure the product qualities and delivery goals.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the DevOps team to build and maintain the infrastructure to support product operations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot product systems, ensuring high availability and performance of the platform.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and improve the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring efficient and reliable product delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Work with other teams to ensure seamless integration between the services and infrastructure.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the infrastructure and tools needed for continuous integration, automated testing, and delivery of the product.
  • Ensure security and compliance with regulations related to product deployment and operation, including vulnerability scanning, access control, and data encryption.
  • Working closely with other team members to ensure compatibility and consistency of the system.
  • Contributing to the establishment and maintenance of best software development practices to ensure the quality and performance of the product.
  • Working with the engineering team to explore and create new designs/architectures geared toward scalability, stability and performance of the product.
  • Document processes, procedures, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing, and evaluate their potential impact on our systems and processes.

Your skills and experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in building and maintaining product infrastructure, with at least 3 years as lead DevOps engineer.
  • Strong experience in software development and operations, with a focus on DevOps practices.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Expertise in monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk to ensure the performance and availability of the system.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to automate the deployment and management of product infrastructure.
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms like AWS, and the ability to deploy and manage infrastructure in the cloud.
  • Experience in configuring, operating on-premise Linux data centers is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash.
  • Excellent at teamwork and communication, great attention to detail.
